South Korea has a surge again.
Many religious leaders around the world, including the recent one in California, are doing injustice to the followers. Are they spreading fake gospel and teaching, leading the followers in believing that their lives will be spared or protected from the pandemic
Should they encourage the followers continue to attend mass services against health authority advice and government order?
Is a good reason to ask followers to attend in person. It is not the same to donate to a bank account to an online preacher broadcasting over the Internet. Many older people are not savvy with the technology, and donations are not forthcoming without their presence.
Mega religious establishments with annual income in tens of millions of dollars do not have to submit any financial reports to the government, and therefore how much money collected, whose pockets are lined, are not disclosed.
These big gatherings cannot observe social distancing, and normally they are in an enclosed assembly area. It is also as a tradition to hug and kiss as expression of love to their fellow believers
In order to avoid another lockdown, do not be too impatient to attend large gathering, especially with the congregation singing. Your life is precious, and do not throw it away.
PS many believers think that the end of the world is near, because many of the signs coincide with what were written in the Book of Revelation. Well, if the world does not end this time, there will always be another similar occurrence that fits reasonably well with the content of the Book!
