This is the prediction I made and I wish it will never realise. However, I believe my fear will surface soone

I have blogged repeatedly that my biggest fear is that children will be the super spreaders who cause the biggest wave of infection and fatality.

I really want to see that all children tested, whether they show signs of infection or not, because they are more than likely to be asymptomatic and with long incubation.

Until now, I still cannot work out how medical professionals and scientists hold the opinion that children are considered low risk, without sufficient number of children being tested.

My logic tells me otherwise, and more research must be done hopefully to remove that myth.

I just want to reiterate that children are so susceptible to many diseases and viral infection, such as whooping cough, small pox, measles, polio, etc., and therefore it makes no sense that they can escape this deadly pandemic.

It is just nonsensical that children are exempted from wearing masks, because the existing statistics tell those experts so. Infant infection cases and mortality are slowing increasing, as reported by children hospital. If the researches in the the linked article are proven realisable and correct, then parents with infected children are likely to have a higher viral load because of their close proximity to the children.

I was brought up in a family with Chinese background, and my early childhood illnesses were cured by herbal medicine. Avoidance of eating certain foods for different type of coughs, and inclusion of offals for iron essential for the red blood cells were common.

Such practices worked, despite the lack of scientific evidence, data or hard statistics to prove the effectiveness until later years when herbal medicine became an accepted discipline to pursue in universities in China and abroad.

In an early study by the China authority, children were found as easily infected as adults, but they were asymptomatic. Will any of our states take an proactive preemptive strike to study the infection rate of young children and whether they will present a big risk to the community?

Prevention is better than cure.

Why so many countries still have high positive cases and deaths?

World Health Organisation reports largest single-day increase in cases

Why do so many countries still have high positive cases and deaths after many weeks or even months since the pandemic? Why is Victoria experiencing more community transmitted cases now?

Like what I have rewritten a few months back, the incubation period for some people can be a lot longer than a fortnight, and in one case, it took more than one and a half months.

Some infected people are asymptomatic in the early days, until their defence system happens to weaken due to various reasons. The virus will take the opportunity to multiply quickly. These are likely to be more aggressive and infectious. They build up stronger resistance after learning how to avoid destruction by the body.

Take care. I am advising you as a logician, not a medical professional.

A virus cluster at an Auckland school has Australian parents worried. Should they be?

It is a numbers game, the more people tested, more cases discovered.

The question is whether the number of children tested is in the same proportion as the total number tested so far.

From overseas researches so far show that infected children are asymptomatic, which means they can be carriers to infect the teachers and others instead of the other way round.

This does not sound good. I hope my very pessimistic prediction is not realised, that is, children become the next wave of coronavirus victims.
Health officials worry a coronavirus-related syndrome or some other unidentified infectious pathogen is emerging in children in the UK.

Coronavirus can hit kids too, and one mum wants parents to be more vigilant

I have been blogging about my concern regarding children being infected by coronavirus. I also hypothesise why children do not get infected as easily as the adults.

Just because most children do not display much symptoms, or asymptomatic, that does not mean they are not carriers, and may not be super spreaders or transmitters.

I watched the interview on ABC (Aust) about a mother from Bavaria whose two children were tested positive to the coronavirus. She had no idea whether they were infected when they were out shopping or attending the kindergarten before they were closed.

While a lot of adults have undergone testing, I doubt the number of children are tested in the same proportion. The argument is based on data from China or overseas show that infection rate for children is low.

What really puzzles me is that why children are prone to many life threatening diseases, but apparently not affected by this highly infectious and deadly virus.

Is there a substance not necessarily an anti-body in a child‘s body that inhibits or suppresses the symptoms? If this virus is not destroyed by the child's defence system, will the virus mutate into more deadly, not only killing the child who is the host eventually, but also leads to more community infections and fatality?

Now that Australia has apparently "flattened the curve", unless irresponsible people flout the laws against social distancing, I believe the government should turn their attention to test more children, especially students attended schools before the locked down. Testing temperature is not a sure way to detect presence of virus in their system.
