Coronavirus confusion Chinse masks for Italy end in Czech Republic

Yesterday I communicated via Messenger with a FB friend, a resident from Rome and currently staying in Austria to look after her 90 year old mother while the pandemic is on. The city is in lockdown, schools and universities are shut down. Workers do not get paid or receive any assistance from the government.

Her neighbour and friends in Rome are fine, staying at home. For those with a garden, they can catch up with some spring gardening. Some of them reckon the large number of infections in Italy is due to Italians go out to coffee several times a day, and kiss each other on the right and left cheeks.

Austria donated 300,000 masks to China at the start of coronavirus outbreak, and in return for such gesture, China sent 600,000 masks and other medical equipment to Austria.

As for the linked article, I don't intend to comment on or speculate about how masks donated by China to Italy ended in Czech Republic.

I like to get actual account from people living overseas. It is difficult to authenticate information from secondary source.

Thank you for reading.
